What's the one thing that makes my presentations or workshops a success?

The single biggest factor that determines the success of my presentations/workshops? 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁.

I’m at my best when I’m given the creative freedom to craft my content in the way I think will be most effective.

That means finding ways to connect with my audience that you won’t get with other presenters. Not a criticism of them; it’s just that I’ll do things my way.

I never give the exact same presentation twice.

Chances are, I’ll suddenly be inspired by something in the hours — maybe even minutes — before I go on stage that will require me to make last-minute changes. It might be one slide, or it might be a whole new section.

That takes a lot more effort than just repeatedly rolling out a pre-packaged presentation. But it’s far more impactful.

What I do isn’t for everyone.

It requires my clients to trust that I’ll deliver and not want to see or approve content in advance.

I can’t expect them to do that if they don’t know what I can do.

Which is one of the reasons I post so much content on social media. What you see here is indicative of what you get when you hire me. There’s no difference between LinkedIn me and ‘on stage’ me.

If you don’t like what’s here or you want something entirely predictable, please don’t hire me.

But if you do, then know that the same creative passion and processes that go into preparing 𝘮𝘺 social media content will be deployed in preparing 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 presentation.

I’ll also make certain that, well before I begin crafting my content, I understand why you’ve hired me and exactly what impact you want me to have on your audience.

And then I need your trust.

Oh, and if you're wondering what the image represents? While it's not a very good representation of the way I like to present, I thought it was important to live up to the values I'm espousing by putting my trust in ChatGPT as an illustrator.
